Facelifts, also known as a rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure to restore a more youthful appearance to the face. As we age, the cumulative effects of gravity, sun exposure and the stresses of everyday life begin to show in our faces. The skin loses its elasticity, causing the jaw line and cheeks to sag. Fat also sags, causing volume loss in the midface, and fatty deposits may develop underneath the chin and in the jowl area. The neck will become lax, and the jaw line becomes less defined. Facial wrinkling may also appear.

A facelift, which also includes treatment of the neck as well, can improve these visible signs of aging. Rather than give you a different, operated-upon appearance that is, unfortunately, rather common with many face-lifting techniques, Dr. Palmer strives to restore a more youthful appearance to your face, which in turn means you won’t look different; you will look younger and more refreshed.
